Anne-Lise Agossa is an Abidjan and London based designer whose work spans art, architecture and design.

Fossil is an ongoing series of objects inspired by textures found in the natural environment of West Africa, the Sahel and the Sahara.

Rocks, stones, plants, flowers and macro landscape textures all serve as a source of inspiration to create the shapes and textural quality of these objects.

References to dried hibiscus petals are recurrent, for their sculptural and textural qualities, and are cast from a curated collection of hibiscus sabdariffa petals. Hibiscus is also used as a symbol for the mapping of cross-cultural patterns across the southern hemisphere.

The functions of the objects draws both on cultural research, and on personal narratives.
